Conversation with a Physics Professor

Good afternoon everyone. I thought you might be interested in a little conversation I had with my physics professor. I discussed with him very basic questions. These questions basically ask about some of the resources he reads, and some of the current issues he deals with. I have the conversation listed below.

Q1. What are several contemporary issues in your field of study?

A1.
Origin of the universe
Nature of structures of matter: Can they be unified?
How are galaxies formed?
Dark Matter? Anti-Matter?

Q2.What documentation style is used in your field of study?

A2.
Papers: AIP or APS, they don’t really vary too much.
The standard is set up by the American Physics Society
It also varies by what it is exactly you are writing.

Q3. What are the major, most important journals in your field of study?

A3.
A) Physical Review
B) Astro Physical Journal
C) Royal Astronautical Society

Well there you go folks. Hopefully that will give you a little more information about the lifestyle of a physicist. Anyway this is Daily Dose of Physics, signing out.
